Rutgers University ABSN - Summer 2025

Published

Hi everyone! I did not see a forum yet for Rutgers ABSN for Summer 2025. I figured it would be a great way for us all to communicate on our nursing journey. Has anyone applied or heard anything back yet?

Hi! For those that received an email regarding Orientation, do we need to sign up or rsvp stating that we will be attending?  My email consisted of what we will be doing during Orientation and a URL to sign up for the HESI exam but nothing else. Are we also registering for classes during Orientation. Thank you for your responses in advance!

Does anyone know if we register for classes at orientation? Thank you

Is there a sign up link for Orientation? I received an email regarding Orientation but no link to sign up.

Hey, yes there was an email that was sent out called Orientation Details Date: Tuesday, May 6, 2025. It contains the rsvp link as well as a high-level agenda (financial aid overview, registration overview, academic policy overview, etc). I actually would have missed this email completely if I didn't check my spam. So definitely check your junk/spam folder.

in the email about orientation, the high-level agenda lists 'Registration Overview' so it's likely that we will.

Does anyone know where we can view the class/schedule options?

Hey! I was just accepted today into the program! I am trying to set up my NetID but it keeps giving me a system error. Did this happen to anyone else?

Amazing stats! You have a solid background. Congratulations on your acceptance.

Hi everyone!
I'm a current student at Rutgers ABSN. Before I started the program, I wish I had insight from current students. So, here I am trying to help you guys out.
I'll start off by saying - KNOW YOUR ANATOMY. If you haven't done math in a min - refresh yourself with basic conversions. Or, find practice problems online for basic dosage conversion problems.

Health Assessment- you guys are lucky to have anyone, but Professor Collins. Word on the street she is retiring after this semester.
NCHP - not a big deal to worry about. Except for passing by dosage with a 90% the first time. If not you get two more chances (with less room for error).
Professional nursing - not that big of a deal too. But, definitely study for exams. They make exams difficult for nothing.
Patho- Patho is Patho. But with hard work and dedication you will pass.

it's no joke when they say the program is rigorous. Do not take it lightly.

The school gives you all the textbooks you need online. I on the other hand rented the books because I study better with a book in my hand.

I hope this helps! I wish everyone best of luck, future nurses!

Hi! Thank you so much for this, if you don't mind me asking how much was each semester for you and when did u hear from financial aid. Feel free to not answer the financial question as it is personal, but how long did it take for u to hear back from financial aid?

Average of each semester I would say cost is $9k. add another $600 I believe if you don't have health insurance.

Financial aid is no help. It's really a struggle dealing with them.
