Hello! I've just completed my application for the Spring 2018 Rutgers ABSN program (applying for both New Brunswick and Newark) and was wondering if anyone else is applying as well? Anyone have an idea how many people are accepted at each campus? Also - does anyone know what the academic calendar will be like, i.e. is there any type of short break in the summer? I was looking around on the website and can't seem to find a tentative calendar for some reason.
3.15 B.S in Kinesiology I graduated last May, 3.7 in science pre-reqs. I had over 1,000 hours of working experience as a PT aide and a really good personal statement that went into why my GPA was on the lower end and why I wanted to get into nursing (my dad had terminal cancer) . I was also waitlisted last cycle so not sure if that had any influence in the decision. Good luck everyone!

For those interested, I had a 3.5 undergrad (English and Spanish) and 4.0 in prereqs, and have been working at a hospital for about 4 years (I'm 28).

Hey everybody! I got my letter yesterday too. I'm stoked. I applied to both campuses and will probably go with New Brunswick. It might be easier to find parking there.

I did my undergraduate at Rutgers. Psychology major , biology minor 3.8 major GPA and 3.5 overall GPA. Prerequisite GPA was 3.7. I also have many years of health care experiences. I was waitlisted last semester. My personal statement talked about my desire, passion and experiences. Hope that helps. Also have a killer resume that might help ! Everything counts .

Received my acceptance to both campuses today. Still waiting to hear back from other schools!
3.0 in undergrad, international business major & 3.5 in my sciences/pre-reqs.
I'm sure if you felt that you wrote a killer personal statement, you'll be fine. good luck all!
