Hello! I've just completed my application for the Spring 2018 Rutgers ABSN program (applying for both New Brunswick and Newark) and was wondering if anyone else is applying as well? Anyone have an idea how many people are accepted at each campus? Also - does anyone know what the academic calendar will be like, i.e. is there any type of short break in the summer? I was looking around on the website and can't seem to find a tentative calendar for some reason.
Thanks!
Alyssa
I'm not sure lol I would hope so, they did call and email me several times saying to seriously consider reapplying and that my chances were much better this time. But yeah it kinda sucked having to pay another application fee just to look at the same application that I sent for fall so keeping my fingers crossed that I have better luck this time around!
Hey guys, I know everyone is anxious awaiting responses for their applications, I also applied (only to the newark location) on August 29. Does anyone know if they mail out the decisions or email them? and around what timeline should we be expecting the decision? Thanks in advance!
I was part of the Fall 2017 applicant process and I reapplied for Spring because I was waitlisted. From my experience from the last cycle, people were either emailed or mailed a decision. Some ecisions were sent out a week from the deadline, however, some people got a really late response (like me). Mine was 5 weeks after the deadline. I guess it depends, they're known for being notoriously slow. Hope this helps!

That's what happened last cycle, although they were 3 weeks past the deadline with my decision. It kind of varied as far as how people got notified, some people got letters and others got emailed. But they don't really update your NursingCAS application as far as telling you if they reviewed it or not. I'm just hoping they don't extend the deadline, they did for last spring so I'm assuming that meant they didn't get as many appplications as they wanted.
