Do you already have an ADN RN degree? If so, u may want to post on the Nursing Students board...I wanted to apply for their transfer student program but I don't have my ADN and they closed apps until 2012 I believe . I'm pretty sure they're quite competitive like a 3.8 GPA but check their website, it should have the criteria.

No, I dont have an ADN, I have a bachelor's in dietetics. I am applying to their accelerated program for people with a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field. Good luck with finding a program though :)
I plan to apply for the Accel program at Rutgers. I was a previous RU student, so their re-enrollment process starts in Feb 1 (ie I can't apply until then). Acceptance letters are sent usually mid March. When I attended their Info Session in Oct., they mentioned that although the website says 3.0 min GPA, the accepted applicants have at least a 3.5. It seems competitive.

Hi goofina,
Just wondering if you heard from Rutgers yet? I applied as a re-enrolling student. Now, just waiting...
I'm also waiting (impatiently) to hear from the Rutgers ABSN program. Foifi, did you speak with someone from the school who told you to wait until the end of March? I wanted to call and find out what's going on, but I've called them too many times already and I don't want to annoy them right as decisions are being made.

Hello fellow pre-nursing students!
I am wondering if anybody is applying to Rutgers ABSN program that is supposed to start in May.
I just submitted my application, still have to submit transcripts but thats it. I am also applying to Stony Brook and Edinboro University in PA. I applied to Hunter College and got in, however that is only to the school... have yet to apply to their nursing program.
Has anyone been through the program at Rutgers? Does anyone know how competitive it is? GPA etc. If someone reads this that has been accepted and been through the program would you mind telling your GPA? When did you get your acceptance letter?
I can't wait to hear back already and I haven't even finished the application process :anbd: haha.
