  1. Prr33, My major was in biology. Though the class this year comes from a wide variety of disciplines. I don't think they are looking at particular majors as much as they want to make sure you have the pre-reqs for the program.
  2. Hi Stacy, when you apply you must select Newark. Then there will be an option under nursing for the accelerated program. Rutgers has one accelerated program, and they alternate campuses depending on the semester. I am currently in the program, and our summer session was in Newark, and our fall semester is in New Brumswick. Hope this helps.
  3. Oops, I meant Memorial Day
  4. The Rutgers program actually starts with summer session, usually right after labor day. For the Culture class, you either have to take the class at Rutgers, or challenge out of it.
  5. The HIP class can be satisfied with a basic communication class. I was able to take an intro level communication class at my local community college to satisfy this requirement. If you have questions before signing up for a class you can call the nursing school and they can tell you if a class is acceptable. I would urge you to take as many of the challenge classes before you start because the summer is very hectic and it will help your sanity if you dont have as many challenge exams to take.
  6. Wow we are all pretty close. Thats ausome, will help if we want to have study sessions or something. I would be in to car pool as well. See you guys on Wensday. :) -Rachel
  7. While I'm at it, where is everyone else from too?
  8. Hi Lauren, I live in Bound Brook. Where are you from? -Rachel
  9. The program is split between the two campuses. When you apply, you select the Newark Campus, but they say that classes alternate depending on the semester. One semester all your classes will be in newark, and the next semester they would all be in new brunswick.
  10. Hi guys, Regarding they have a firm date now. I received an email saying it will be on May 11, at 9 in Newark. What are you guys doing for parking? Do you think we will qualify for visitor parking or be able to park In one of the student lots? -Rachel
  11. Interesting, I emailed her last week regarding Cultural Dimensions, and she said that there would be a test and a 2-4 page take home essay. She also said that we would have until mid- august to complete them. Jesse, do you think they may just require the essay now? -Rachel
  12. Hi Jesse, Congrats! I can't wait, I'm very excited for orientation and classes.
  13. Congrads!! I haven't received any information yet, so I'm still in the dark too. I paid my enrollment fee on Saturday so hopefully something will be in the mail soon. :)
  14. At the info session in the fall they said that class was pretty easy to pass out of, so hopefully that is true. As far a financing, I didn't get financial aid. I have some money saved, but was thinking about looking into a student loan for extra help. Sorry that I can't be more help, I haven't really done much research on it yet.
