Rutgers ABSN Spring 2021

Hey! I figured I'd start a thread as I haven't found one for this upcoming semester. Has anyone applied for Rutgers ABSN Spring 2021 start?

I have applied and am currently just waiting on a response. I know I have spoken to someone at the school and they have mentioned that some people have already gotten their decisions.

I thought there was an orientation on December 11th? Ugh. I wish they had stuck with their December 1st deadline.

This is all so stressful & it leaves those accepted at that point no time to prepare before classes start a month later!

Same here I submitted my app at the end of September and I am still awaiting to hear back.  I messaged them this morning and was informed we should hear back by the end of the business week.  This is seems a little off since the deadline was extended its putting strain on accepted students and awaiting students to hear back.  Good luck those awaiting!

Hello, 

 

I continue to monitor the application portal for decisions.  I spoke to the counselor via chat and they reported they trying to make all decisions before Christmas. Some decisions were updated last night.  For those waiting to hear back, keep your patience.

Thanks for keeping us Updated. I reached out yesterday and asked and was told we have no date or timeline. I said well isn't orientation on the 11th they responded yes but we are going to send decisions out after that too...

I have a question...do folks know what the NCLEX pass rate is? I know they mentioned in an info session it was around 94% but I keep seeing different numbers online. And also the retention rate of students in the program?

Good Morning, I wanted to ask all of you who have been accepted, what are the fees associated with getting ready and registered before the semester starts. My status is still in process and with the decisions coming out after the orientation date of the 11th there is a possibility that we may not find out if we have gotten in or not until around Christmas or maybe even after. I just wanted to prepare what I will need to pay before the semester starts should I get accepted.

$70 application fee

$150 seat fee once confirmed you're coming

$140 for uniform

$160ish for drug test & background

$ whatever your doctor charges per visit to get your shots and fill out your medical forms.

Then you have 5 or 6 pre-orientation assignments before the actual orientation. (not hard)

Estimated tuition + mandatory fees for the semester is $8,005. The max federal loan for 2nd degree is $6,250. In other words, you have to finance the remaining $1,755 via cash, private loans, scholarships, etc.
