Rush University Generalist Entry Master’s (GEM) Fall 2024

Hi! This is for a space for people applying to Rush University's GEM program for fall 2024 to share! I submitted a bit over a month ago, and shortly after recieved an email inviting me to an interview which I believe will be taking place in a month or so. Was everyone invited to an interview? Or was it selective at all? How is everyone feeling in general?

Did you guys also get the First Look Book email?

Yes, I got mine 3 days after my interview. I assumed that everyone would get it after the interview.

I received my notification and I did not get accepted but I truly wish the best for everyone else!

Just saw my email, waitlisted, but they offered me a guaranteed spot for Spring 2025.... so I'm not fully sure if I should wait to start in January or go to another school I was accepted in this upcoming Fall.

Has anyone applied for the Part time option they emailed about couple weeks ago?? I just got accepted to the Fall 2024 cohort but the part time slot!

I also got an acceptance email this morning! Anyone else waiting on decisions from other schools? I won't hear back from other CA programs until mid April. I know Rush is giving us a deadline of 14 days to accept our offer and pay the deposit, so how are you guys planning on going about that if this school isn't your top choice?

I got my acceptance letter as well! I will be attending for the fall '24 cohort. I am also waiting on some california programs, but depending on the program, they are HEAVILY impacted, and have extremely low acceptance rates due to the amount of applicants. I applied to 13 programs, with Rush being in my top 5. I just weighed the pros and cons. Also took into account likelyhood of my acceptance to programs in California.

Congratulations! Rush GEM program has a part time program? I didn't know that. Where else can I get more information on the part time program? Thanks!

I would check with the school. I got an email about third week of February saying for the first time ever , they are opening some slots for part time students and I submitted a survey to be admitted to it. They said they'll let you know which track you got into within your acceptance email.
