Rush University DNP Fall 2015

Sent in my application Monday, which was the due date for applications. Waiting for a response. Anyone else in the same boat? Any alums with experiences to share? I applied to the PMHNP specialty so I'm especially interested to hear from anyone who's trying for that or has already done it.

I wanted to apply to this school for the same degree, but they don't accept NC applicants. :(

Sorry you weren't able to apply. Where did you choose to apply instead? Any idea why they don't take NC applicants? Seems odd...

Kandice, I have not heard anything back yet either. I hope we both get some good news regarding the next steps in the application process soon!

Absolutely, it is imperative we remain optimistic. It has only been a few weeks since the application deadline. I am hopeful we both will receive an interview along with an acceptance email shortly after.

Thank you for letting us know, Chicincy. Hopefully we will all get interviews soon! I think they may be taking their time reviewing applications this year… one of my transcripts was late arriving and they were not overly concerned with the delay in reviewing the application. (Not complaining since it worked in my favor, but along with everything else it may be a sign they're not feeling a lot of urgency about reviewing the applications overall.)

Yes, fingers crossed! Do either of you know any metrics for the program from prior years? I.e, number of applicants vs total number accepted?

Chinicy, I am not aware of any metrics for the PMHNP-DNP program. I am looking forward to advancing my nursing career to the next level at Rush University. In the meantime, I also extend hope to you as we all embrace for positive outcomes.
