Hi, I wanted to start a thread to see how many people have applied for 2023? Does anyone know what the interview process is like? Or when they let us know about interviews?

I’m sorry to hear this. I know we all work so hard in hopes of good news. Is this your first time applying? If you haven’t already email the the program director and ask for feedback! Thanks for updating the group though! I am going to be panicking all week every time I open my email!! ?

I just got rejected.

I’m not sure what I could do better except look like a better statistic. My GPA from 20 years ago was only a 3.0. My BSN was a 4.0 recently. 6 letters of recommendation and CCRN.

I sent a follow up email to see if this is even worth pursuing again.

Specializes in BICU RN.

Just got my rejection / no interview invite email about an hour ago. Good luck to you guys!!

Specializes in Critical care/ Cardiac Surgery.

I didn’t get an interview either! Keep your heads up! It doesn’t mean never! It’s just not yet!
Congrats to whoever did get an interview!

Ahhh getting so anxious! Seems like the rejections are going out in waves today? I didn’t get anything yet. I already got rejected from VCU so keeping my fingers crossed I get an interview at Rush! To everyone who got rejected, keep your heads up! I know the feeling, keep pursuing the dream! And good luck to everyone who hasn’t heard back yet ?

Sorry to hear for all of those that got rejected. I’m still anxiously waiting to hear back, but keep your head up everyone. There are still more schools to apply to this year! ?

This is my first time applying at Rush, but I applied at Rosalind twice. And regret not emailing them the first time. The second time at Rosalind I emailed the director and she told me to take Grad level courses. I am in the same situation as you that my pre nursing GPA is low. To demonstrate that I am a capable candidate I have taken 4 Grad level Science course Pharm, Patho, Organic Chem and Physiology. I am also taking Biostatistics this Summer. I hope that is enough to demonstrate how bad I want this. I don’t know your situation but if you are able to relocate apply everywhere. If not follow the director’s recommendation and reapply next year! Best of luck to you !

Just got an interview invite! Keep checking your emails guys! :)

I actually already have a biochem degree with 400/500 level coursework. I even took the calculus series, which was optional. I got a lot of B’s because I was working full time. I’m not sure if there is much I can do except turn some B’s into A’s, which feels like a giant waste of time. I’ll have to see what kind of feedback I receive.

spammasubi, what kind of stats and experience did you have?
