I am currently in my 2nd semester of prereqs at a comm. college for their ADN program. I am taking A&P I right now and this girl in my lab group and I were discussing ADN vs. BSN and I mentioned that I was planning on staying at the comm. college and going thru with their ADN program. She said in a very condescending tone that well she was going for her BSN and that wasn't a hard decision at all for her considering ASN salary av. is about $30,000 a year and BSN is about $100,000 a year !!!! I just kind of glared at her and didn't really say anything b/c I was in disbelief that she actually was that misled. I mean come on, she can't actually believe that can she ??
It wouldn't have aggrevated me so much if I thought that she was just ignorant about it but she is the "know-it-all" (or thinks she is) about everything nursing b/c she already works with nurses in a clinic. So anyway, just had to vent. Sorry this is so long. I'll just keep plugging away for my humble associate's degree b/c that is the path I've chosen.

I'm an LVN and have made over 30K this year with MINIMAL overtime. As an ASN you'll definitely make more. And don't worry about her...she'll find out the hard way. :rotfl:
