is anyone here in the rsu nursing program or been through it? how is it? i am going to have to choose one and quick either tcc/ou or rsu nursing and i dont know which!! i live in claremore, so rsu would be better since it's here in town. i have a friend in rsu nursing program who complains about how awful it is and how the teachers are such devils. i am there and excited to learn so im not sure she and i are on same page (i hope she would be but who knows...). so i need some input from outside sources about rsu nursing program!! TELL ALL thx in advance!

Personally, I feel that convenience is verrrrry important. Figure out how much time, money, and stress that will be caused by that commute. I have just been accepted to the TCC program and have heard horror stories about it. Every program has horror stories (though I haven't heard any about the RSU program). It appears RSU has a very good first-time pass rate for the NCLEX. I have heard that RSU has one of the premier programs in NE Oklahoma. Consider yourself fortunate to be there in Claremore. Whatever your decision, good luck!

Wiseintulsa- CONGRATULATIONS on getting accepted to TCC! I am about 5 weeks away from being done w/ level one there! I, too heard all the horror stories about TCC, but I have to say it's been a good experience for me. There's really only one professor I can think of that's absolutely miserable, but I won't talk about that on here :) You'll find that anywhere you go though! I feel that I have been given a good foundation this semester to continue through to levels 2, 3, & 4 and I think that's the most important because if you don't have a solid foundation, you wont do well in the higher levels. The faculty have been very personable there and I do feel like they want me to succeed so that's a plus too. You'll have to let us know how it goes when u start! GOOD LUCK!!

babygirl-I know a girl that's going to RSU and she really likes it, she lives in Owasso so it was convenient for her too, I really haven't heard any bad things about them, so that has to be good!:D

:)I am currently in the nursing program at RSU and I love it!! I just finished my 1st year and it was surprisingly not as hard as I thought it was going to be. Don't get me wrong, it's not easy, but not super difficult. I recommend that once your in the program read as much as you can, study your notes, and do NOT blow off CONCEPTS class!!!! I suggest you read for that class everything that is assigned b/c people blew that class off and flunked out b/c it's only a 1 hour class and they didnt take it seriously. Make sure you understand the case study rules and guidelines, and what your faculty is wanting. The faculty is wonderful and very helpful. If you have any questions feel free to ask.:nurse:

I'm curious about RSU. My twin sister and I over a two year period have had the worse experiences with TCC. They never have their stuff together and no one can ever answer your questions. We live in Tulsa near brookside and it almost seems silly to commute to Claremore for their nursing program, however I am unwilling to play in the circus of TCC further. Has anyone else got feedback on their ADN program? Know any one who has graduated? I'm about to finish my CNA with Tulsa Tech (who is wonderful!) and I want to make sure we take the right step forward.
