RPN to RN bridging Ontario Tech

Published

Hi everyone!

I've applied for the RPN to RN bridging for Ontario Tech 2022. Has anyone received an offer? They told me a few months ago that they would release offers on March 4, but I haven't seen anyone saying anything here. To be clear, this is for the RPN to RN bridging, so those applying are already RPNS.

Hey! I applied for the Fall 2022 intake as well. I got an offer for both Oshawa and Barrie campus so now I’m having a difficult time choosing between the two… Im from BC ! Did you hear back ?

I have received an offer for fall 2022. I am deciding if I want to go to Barrie Campus or George Brown College. The program is highly competitive but don't be discouraged! Hope you get an offer soon!

I received offer for UoIT Barrie and Oshawa… deciding which one too!

Hi everyone!

so I’m a Georgian rpn student with 78 avg ( gen ED brought it down ) and I’m upset that I’m almost done the program and  covid schooling  made it harder  me from getting a higher avg. that said I’m really trying to stay positive.

Anyone that has been accepted to any bridging program, what was your acceptance avg? Do you know someone with a lower avg that got accepted? What school?

should I delay my graduation and take the gen ED class again ? Or new one ? Or is there better ideas?

thank you for your time reading ?

I was given an offer to UOIT both campuses and George brown-Trent bridging program.

My average was mid 80's for RPN program. I believe UOIT has courses that you can take to bring up your average. You will have to look on their website under the Bridge to RN page.  I went to the admissions table to see if I had any outstanding documents missing and the woman at the table said "It's a HIGHLY competitive program and some people apply 5 times and still don't get accepted."

Minimum average is 75% for George brown just take a look on their website. Have you thought about Athabasca? its all online except for 4 week placement you would have to do it out there in Alberta. They take new students per month and it's go at your own pace.

Keep your head up and stay positive!

This may sound like a silly question, I am applying this month for next year for the rpn to RN. The program itself does it give you your RN once completion of exam or is there another program after completion of this one?

Edit

This is a valid question. Once you complete the 2.5 year program you will receive a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Once you graduate you have to write the standardized NCLEX exam to obtain your RN status and then apply for your nursing license. Hopefully this helps and good luck!
