RPN bridging to BScN in Conestoga College

Published

Hello everyone, am just been admitted to Conestoga for the RPN bridging to BScN program, September 2018. I live in London, ON and looking for someone/people that might be interested in commuting with me. One more thing, if there is anyone already in this program, i would like to know if I can be allowed to take some courses in the summer to relieve my workload in September. Your comments will be appreciated.

I suggest you go right to the source: the School of Nursing, with your question about summer courses.

They would best know if any courses are offered during the summer at all, and if so, if they would lighten your load for the Fall courses.

You may also be able to post online with the school or on a bulletin board re: potential commuting buddies.

Hmm.., very thoughtful, i never knew that there is something like the bulletin that the students can use to communicate. I'll find out for this school. Thank you for your input. I appreciate your time.

Hey Funkynurse09,

What was your GPA? How was the CASper testing? How was the grading system? I am planning to apply for 2019 september intake.

Thank you!!!

Well, I did my nursing education outside of Canada so am not sure what my GPA was. However, Conestoga allows applicants to take 12units university-level courses for an upgrade, and you will be graded base on your performance in these courses. These courses can be any course especially electives; stay away from any nursing courses or 100 level courses, 200 or 300 level electives or any course you know you will do great in is fine. I think they just expect an average of 80-85% in these courses, if you can score higher that will be great. This is a great way to go if you think your GPA is low. Nevertheless, I think the CASper is very essential in getting admission too. As for CASper, you just need to be able to work fast in answering the questions, ensure you answer every single question. The scenarios in CASper are just day to day issues and you will be asked your opinion on any given situation. Anyways, good luck!!
