I am currently finishing up y MSN FNP this next year and I am currently working in ICU and have decided I would like to go to CRNA school. I have looked at the average times for completing the CRNA program and was wondering if anyone knows if there are schools that have a post masters certificate and where the shortest length of time program is at if you already have a MSN?

Thanks for the question Dancie--I'm planning for a masters in family practice myself, but am also considering a CRNA as well. Let me know if you find anything of interest not posted here :-)

Go the AANA website and the lists of accredited schools- review the listings looking for post master certificates then contact the schools. Length of the program is often the same just a lesser academic load- contact the individual programs for more information.

I've heard from others in your situation that they had to complete the entire CRNA program regardless of their NP. Most CRNA programs won't accept grad classes that apply to the degree from other programs. I suggest calling the programs you are interested in & talking with them personally.
