Roseman University Fall/October 2020 Cohort

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone, starting a new thread for the upcoming Fall/October 2020 Cohort.

Applications just opened up this month.

Curious how many applicants there will be due to COVID-19.

Feel free to post your stats/campus preference and please state if you're a first-time or rollover applicant.

Hi! Me too! ?

I got an interview invite for the second week of June. For those wondering, it'll be virtual via Zoom. ?

For those who got invites- do you mind sharing stats? I’m trying to get an idea of how much I need to improve my GPA

CONGRATS on your interview! I had mines in May, and I got accepted to the program of 3.1 GPA. I didn't have to complete the TEAS because of COVID, which I am thankful for. I have some interview questions I studied for which prepared me for the interview, would you guys like me to post it here?

Yes please! How long did you wait from application to being called to interview?

My interview was on May 12th, and I got my acceptance email on May 29th.

Here are the interview questions I studied for...

  1. Tell me about yourself.
  2. Why did you choose to apply to Roseman?
  3. Why do you want to be a nurse?
  4. What 3 things did you do to prepare for nursing school?
  5. Explain how you manage your time and complete tasks before a deadline.
  6. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  7. Define professionalism. What does professionalism mean to you?
  8. How would you display professionalism as a student nurse?
  9. What makes a good leader?
  10. Tell us why caring and compassion are at the heart of nursing.
  11. Tell us a time when you showed compassion in a dire time.
  12. Give me a time when your integrity was challenged.
  13. Tell me about the time when you witness someone doing something unethical, and what did you do?
  14. Tell me a time where you had to earn the respect of someone, what did you do?
  15. Tell me a time you had to deal with a difficult person?
  16. Tell me about a time where you had to go above and beyond, how did it go?
  17. Tell me about a time you had to display leadership and motivate someone.

I'm sorry if this seems a lot. Some of the questions do overlap with each other. During my interview, they focused on professionalism, how I prepared for nursing school, and compassion. I had 2 professors interview me, and they asked 5 questions. In the beginning, they went over financial aid and briefly talked about the school. The whole presentation & interview process was about an hour & 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Perfect, thank you! How long before you were called to interview had you applied? Like how long did you wait from the day you sent your application until you received the invitation to interview? Thanks again!
