Roseman University BSN program... chem?

Published

So... the advisor pretty much bailed out on our appointment and I needed just ONE important question answered! so I've noticed that prior to enrolling, students must have a chem w/ a lab... I've only taken chem 108 at unlv and that didn't have a lab... so I was wondering if anyone knows which one I could/should take AND.. if I can take at csn or unlv?? before summer school starts please! :D

Just curious..what does "pretty much bailed out" even mean? If you mean missed an appointment with you or did not show then that is serious. You need to talk to the head of the department and tell them you need to reschedule. They have a responsibility to be there when you have a scheduled meeting. If "pretty much bailed out" means something else then I apologize.

Well I scheduled an appointment almost a week in advance, called out of work, and drove from n. las vegas to Henderson just to hear from front desk that she called in sick... and was "sorry she couldn't make it." She probably was sick, but it would've been nice to get a call back... I mean my appointment was at 2. Thank you, and hopefully I can get another appointment soon!

Call them and tell them the situation. If you just have one question they should be able to answer it over the phone. Stand up for yourself. In nursing no one else will. Good luck

I took CHEM 121 & 121L (not at CSN or UNLV, but another NSHE school). CSN does not appear to have it for summer, but UNLV does for summer session 2.

Edit: I would recommend taking CHEM 110/111 as it's designed for health sciences majors and has a lab, if you can find it being offered. CSN and UNLV do not seem to have it for the summer :(

Hey rose9210 i read the forums and i saw that you got in. Congrats! I am applying for fall 2015 and i am trying to calculate my points but i am slightly confused. Is the science based points whatever u multiply your science g.p.a by? so lets say i have a 4.0 and i multiply that by 10 that is 40. so i just add that to my # of attempts point and add my hesi score divided by 8.75?that doesn't feel right to me. should i be adding the quality points to the # of attempts points and my hesi score after it is divided by 8.75?

Hey 9ja_grl ! Thank you so much! (: so you know how there are three sections to that calculation sheet? Calculate each section separately and then combine the points once you've finished each individual section calculation. And from what I remember when you are calculating your "middle" section with the class grades, for ex you're supposed to multiply an A which is a 4.0 By 4 to get 16 and a B+ is 3.0 and when you multiply that by 4 it should be 12 which would be 28 and then you divide that by 8.75 then you multiply that by 10. Sorry if it's confusing but I was trying to find one online to go off of it but couldn't. Either way, you have a good chance of getting in! The last 2 semesters have had high 88s for getting in! Good luck with everything and let me know when you get accepted :D
