ROSEMAN ABSN Summer 2021

Hi all! I couldn't find any threads for Roseman's July 2021 cohort so thought I would start one. I am from California and applying to the Henderson NV campus. I know applications don't open until December 1st, but thought I would get a jump on this since many of us are getting application stuff together. Feel free to share stats, advice, or anything else! 

Hey everyone! 
 

I just applied for the Summer cohort on Jan. 9th! First of all good luck to everyone interviewing today! 
 

I have two questions: 

1. For those who received an invitation to interview, how far in advance did you get that invite? It seems like most of you got around 6 days notice, is that correct? They told me the next round of interviews is in February. 
 

2. Does the Summer cohort start in July or June? I’ve been under the assumption it starts in July because that’s what it’s been in the past, but the recruiter Charlene told me it begins in June... Does anyone know for sure? 
 

Can’t wait to hear how everyone’s interviews went! 
 

P.S. 

My stats are: 

- Last 60: 3.4

- Prereq: 3.7 

- TEAS: 80%

Yes they usually let you know a week before so keep an eye out for the email, then they have you submit a written portion the Friday before the interview(around 1-2 days after your invite to interviews). So they only give you like 30 hours for written portion but it’s nothing too serious! I had an interview today and they said orientation is June 9th and classes begin June 14th. My stats are the same as yours and I got in November but I decided to rollover because it was too soon to move.

Is the ABSN application for Summer still open? Because I can't find it on NursingCAS

Hello @ssalinas46 I couldn’t find it either with the link the school gave me. You have to fully exit that. Enter the nursingcas page and SELECT 2020-2021. Otherwise the 2019-2020 will appear and you will not locate the school. I asked the counselor about this issue and she couldn’t help. Didn’t even bother answering to my email. Smh

I did that and I still don't see the program either. I only see

  • BSN August 2021
  • Hybrid-BSN Summer 2021
  • MSN/FNP July 2021

I'm looking for the ABSN program..unless the hybrid-BSN program is the ABSN program? I also asked my advisor if it's full. So, I'm just waiting on that.

Hey it is the hybrid BSN application. I had a hard time finding it too but it was because I was looking it up by state and since it’s in Utah and Nevada, it’s under ‘multiple states’. Weird but hope that helps!

It’s hybrid BSN program, I did my interview yesterday for the Summer 2021 cohort.

How’d your interview go? Did they tell you when they’d let you know?

The person who interviewed me was friendly ! He asked me: 

What are three things I did to prep for nursing school ? 
Why caring and compassion are foundation of nursing ? 
A time when I had to earn someone’s respect ? 
A time where I had to show compassion and set an example for someone struggling ? 
 

I can’t remember if I was asked another question. They said will know 2 weeks from this Friday or sooner ?

I was asked those same questions as well as one about how to handle a situation where you found out someone was being dishonest. Hope this helps!
