Roseman ABSN Fall 2022

U.S.A. Nevada

Published

Hello all, I just wanted to start a thread for those applying to Roseman's ABSN program for fall 2022 entry!

I have yet to apply (I take my TEAS Feb. 7th) but plan to do so shortly after. Has anyone been accepted yet?

Hello,

I am hoping that all you can offer some advice.  I am thinking of applying to this school for the ABSN. I have a Bachelors and a Masters in a non-nursing field.  I also hold a valid LVN license from California.  I was searching the website and I could not find any information on the requirements for science GPA as I have a low GPA.  I also could not find any prerequites.  How competitive is it to get in?  I do not test well so I am deathly afraid of the TEAS test.  Also how often do you have to travel to complete clinicals in Nevada and what is the length that you are in Nevada to complete them.  I am looking at different schools but I am wondering if this may be my best option.  Any information is helpful.

Thank you!

Hi @SFBayAreaLVN

The GPA really depends on the overall applicants as whole GPA. I would definitely say make sure it's 3.2 or above, but it depends when you're trying to attend. It's less competitive when you're trying to get in the Summer time vs Spring and fall. I retook two classes on striaghterline to become more competitive. They way only 2 weeks long and roseman accepts

Clinicals varies between each block. Your first clinical rotation is 3 days in total second is 2 weeks and after that clinicals will be a month long or longer from looking my schedule. Also don't forget you have skills and have to be in person for those and that varies also. Eventually you will have to move to Vegas or South Jordan. I'd say the first 3 blocks you can get away with not living at the Location, but after that you definitely have to move.

I would suggest reaching out to an admissions advisor. They are super helpful and can answer all your questions. You can send them your transcripts and they will tell you what you already have completed and what you need. You have a better chance at getting accepted if you apply and interview in the first round.

Hello All fellow Roadrunners!

I just got accepted to the Feb 2024 cohort. I would like to plan ahead for the 1 week orientation and would like to know how long does the orientation takes each day. Also, what will they will be going over. Thank you in advance!
