Hi, current RFU student here.

Just wanted to give some advice because I talked to one of the program directors last week on campus during an event. From our convo, I was told they pretty much had their cohort filled by the 1st week of December. They had one more spot they needed to fill which they knew would be a Colorado individual for their cohort there.

All this is to reiterate what has already been stressed by the faculty as well as on the forums online MANY times-- if you want to go to this school, apply EARLY! Unless you are a one in a million applicant and have something stellar about you, applying later won't help you. This advice is on their website and they say it all the time at open house. They fill in spots as they go, so for those who didn't get in this time, I highly encourage you apply earlier next year. They also told me they had about 500 more people applying this year than last, so it's only getting more competitive. Good luck!

Thank you for information! Much appreciated. I just found the program in November. Applied 11/24. I'm grateful to make it to the last group info session. Irregardless of outcome, I'm happy I found this program and will absolutely reapply if needed! 🤩🤩 say it with me: I WILL BE A CRNA!

Oh yeah & I know we're almost full but I doubt we are actually 100% full there def are a last little bit of spots left (even if it's just 1 spot), especially if there's this last session. The # of people in the FB groups are not the best indicator of how many got in bc everyone does not know of Allnurses, but I'm sure there's still a handful of spots left.

Also, I have said this before. If you end up waitlisted, this is a large cohort. To all of you, I really really hope you are not putting all of your eggs in one basket. If you want it bad enough, you are applying to several schools. You're playing a risky game by only applying to one. Especially with 1k applicants for 50 spots. And by extending your coverage (broad spectrum no antibiotics LOL) you increase your chances of getting into multiple schools with options. And you can only choose ONE. So with those who are actually getting multiple acceptances, factors such as cost, location, start time, family, and if they get into their higher top choices play a factor. I wouldn't doubt if at least 5 or more people will rescind their spot before May. So do not give up. If you get off the waitlist or not you ALL better keep trying if you really want this. Rejection or not. If a job doesn't offer you a position, do you stop looking and just risk homelessness? No. So the same applies with school. Doesn't matter how many denials you get, you better stay resilient and show grit. Keep trying everyone. And good luck.

@thenursebae thanks and yes absolutely. Evaluate options and apply to as many as possible. I was pleasantly surprised to see this program was such a great fit. Different programs have different app cycles so this is the basket I'm staring at for right now. I have full faith I will end up where I need to be and will keep working my on myself as I simultaneously apply. All we need is ONE! What's for you is for you. That's on peerriiooddddtttt. Pooh. 😂 OK I promise imma log out and come back next week with full transparency!

Best of luck! ❤️ The rest of that message was generally for everyone in this thread! This program shares a cycle with probably 1/3 of other programs as it opens in August but the reality is that over 1,000 people who applied will not get in this year so I just wanted to offer everyone insight that you really have to spread your options! Some people try multiple cycles over two or more years and often times it's because they only applied to 1-2 schools delaying them time that they could have already started at another school. It's just a risk you take if you ever only plan to just apply to one. Many have their top choices, but at the end of the day you will always hear the best program is the one that accepts you. Absolutely whatever happens for you will happen but also you have to put in the work to make sure it does! Because thousands of ICU nurses are also doing the same exact thing and hoping the same thing. So this response isn't just to you directly LOL but just because this thread is very large /long and a lot of people have been anxious about being placed on hold or may not have gotten an interview invite. So to all who are reading this that is my advice.

Yep, got you. Just in case no one else pauses to write a comment, thank you! Much appreciated. The insight is welcome and lands well 👍🏾 ♥️

Has anybody from the 12/2 info session heard anything back?

I did the info session on dec 2, I just got this message "We will keep you abreast of your status of hold for continued consideration with the Doctor of Nursing Practice: Nurse Anesthesia Entry program at RFU throughout the application cycle. Please contact the admissions and enrollment team if you have any questions or concerns".  Im not even sure what this means.

I literally just received the same thing! I am utterly confused as to what that means 😵💫 but I think it's a win bc I wasn't declined?

I was told if you don't get a " rejection" it's pretty much says that you're going to go into waitlist after they fill all the positions. But I'm not quite sure. I had this message from a while back and did my interview in September.
