I've been accepted to Rosalind Franklin University starting in March. Has anyone else on here been accepted?

Get ready for difficult but rewarding ride. I'm part of the class of 09, over 95% pass rate on the boards!

Great! How were the clinical sites? Did you get some good experiences at CRNA only sites? I had a good vibe after the interview and am looking forward to getting started.

I sent in my deposit today, anyone else accepted/attending?

Clinical sites were good, some more difficult than others depending on your strengths and weaknesses. Good luck.

I was accepted, but going to Rush instead. I really liked the personal feel to the program but among other things I didn't want to have to constantly drive long distances to clinical sites. Good luck though, I would have gone if I didn't get into Rush. By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what hosp are you at in South MN?

Congrats...yeah, the distance might not be fun, but I think it may enable us to get some more unique experiences in smaller community hospitals that are more autonomous to CRNAs. I'm at Mayo, where are you at in the Cities? Good luck at Rush.

I agree with the unique experience perspective, I was attracted to that but in the context of family life with a young child I just can muster much enthusiasm for extensive time on the road and away from home. That and an few other personal preferences swayed me to Rush.

I'm at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis. We just sent someone to school at Mayo. How come you're not doing their program?

That makes sense. Yeah, we don't have any kids, but I imagine that makes it that much more difficult to be away. I have doubts about Mayo's program. I really didn't want to stay in Rochester as the town is as boring as it gets. I have heard the program sets you up to be a "Mayo CRNA." They only have one rotation out of Rochester and it is still within the Mayo system. I want to feel that I can practice independently in a variety of settings upon graduation. I don't want an MD looking over my shoulder the entire length of the program. And I'll be a CRNA nine months sooner than if I waited and went through the Mayo program starting next fall, meaning less time wiping butts!:yeah:

I have an interview for Rosalind Franklin next week. Any tips/advice you are willing to share? Thanks!

Does Rush only have a post masters certificate program or is there a BSN to MS__(whichever degree they use) like most other programs. I've tried to navigate their website but I get the impression you need to have a masters to be accepted into it. Also, I thought the site mentioned that there is no need to move for clinicals like they would set you up with sites near your home. Is that the case and how would that work?
