Next on the list is Leadership in Nursing, who's in?
So I need to vent. I have a chronically ill child who this week needed to be hospitalized for four days. As you can imagine this hospital stay interfered with my ability to complete week 5's assignments. I clearly outlined the problem and offered to provide proof to the TA and got no response whatsoever. At this point I am scrambling to catch up, I have not written one word on the paper or cracked the book to study for the test. Planning on pulling an all-nighter. Wish me luck!
So sorry! Goo thing is that this weeks assignment is only a case study and not that bad. :). Good luck!

You do NOT need to study for the test. There is more than enough time to find what you are looking for in the chapters. They give you two hours and it is open book and not difficult.
Sorry about your week. The case study wasn't bad and the quiz is open book with plenty of time. I even answered the door and talked to the mailman for a little while. I also got up and got something to drink during it.
Thanks guys, its been a long week.
The other thing you can consider is calculating the grade you find acceptable and skipping one of the assignments. I did this for a few classes when my sister passed away suddenly in March. I decided that earning a B was okay versus feeling stressed out over assignments that were due.

I'm sorry to hear about your sister. I just don't understand why OU doesn't really care about all this. I thought we were supposed to contact them if we needed accomodations made. Still done with my test and almost done with my paper. Didn't put a great deal of effort into either. Fingers crossed!

Actually I did get in touch with my professors and TA and they gave me extra time. However, it was in the middle of the session and not at the end. I chose NOT to do the work because I just was not caring at the time. I ended up making an A by the skin of my teeth. But, I was very willing to take a B.
Hoping things will go well for you and your daughter. I know life happens around us and it can be rough. I guess that is part of being a nurse. I wish you the best.
