I havent found any threads on the Spring 2012 Nursing program, soo i figured id start one! I have already recieved an Email saying everything has been recieved, just waiting on my letter to see if I was accepted! Does anyone know when theyll be sent out? Has anyone recieved that email yet? :redpinkhe
I freaked too when I realized I've only got 1 1/2 weeks to do everything. I'm so happy to see that some of you are in Dale Mabry 1-4 with me! It will help already "knowing" some of you on the first day of class. Although I am happy you will be in my class, KikB, I'm still praying that you get the night schedule!
Can't wait for this semester to be over so that I can start concentrating solely on studying nursing and drug calc. I don't want to start studying that stuff while I am studying for finals, I'm afraid if I do it will all get jumbled in my brain.
Also, regarding the jacket, I'm not sure if there is a certain style or something, so I am playing it safe and just going to buy it at the bookstore when it becomes available there. All I know is that it has to be Port Wine colored.
Oh! Also, for those of you who haven't registered for the CPR class yet, there IS a $25 class at HCC, not just a $45 one. I found it last night and registered, it is listed under CPR for Allied Health Students-Discount. I'm not sure if anyone discovered this yet or not, but I haven't seen a post so I figured I'd let you all know just in case! See some of you on the 29th :-)
I tried to log onto my baycare training, and for the past few days I'm getting an error message.
I was looking for a place to get a TB test. I got one at work last year, but I was looking to see if the place I'm getting my titers done had a PPD. I don't see one though. I wonder if you could walk into a nursing home and ask them for one. Wonder how they would react to that. LOL.
Has anyone completely turned everything in? I'm still overwhelmed with what I have to get done. Even though I've made a plan, and it'll be done in time, I'm scared it won't.
As for the TB test questions, you can get them done at Tampa Occupational Health (the drug test lady from orientation), for not too expensive..about $20, but remember you actually have to go in twice for the test..once to get the test done, and then back a couple of days later to get it read...so if you haven't gotten it done yet, in order to have it completed by the 2nd you would need to get it done today or tomorrow.
You can also go to any Minute Clinic (at CVS) to get it done for $27 or Take Care Clinic (at Walgreens) for $28.
Brital,
Once you have your ID and password, login and click on CATALOG. You will then look to the top left for NON-TEAM MEMBER and scroll down until you see STUDENT/INSTRUCTOR. Click on that and you will see CODE OF CONDUCT and ESSENTIAL. Once you see that, click on Code of Conduct and click register and you will do the same for Essential.
You are set to take the course. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hey a_pattee, yea I was planning on doing the cpr class on the 19th until I got invited to a late lunch (early dinner, whatever) with my step-children and their mother. Trust me...the cpr class would have been a major improvement over dinner with my husbands ex-wife. I couldn't get out of it though (although I tried...really, really, really hard), considering she has hated me for the past 4 years, and this was the first time she has ever deigned to speak with me face to face. Blargh.
