Anyone from MD attwnding EC? If so what are your plans after completion as far as work is concerned? i have posted this question in so many different forums and no one has answered me. I would like to know how you guys are planning life after EC

No, but I know that the Maryland BON doesn't recognize EC except for a very small time frame of attendance. Do you fit into that category? I think the idea of EC is nice, but was bummed to hear that MD doesn't recognize it.

Aloha from Hawaii,
I have been a LPN for the past 10 years. I am a single mom of 2 working full time. I have worked in pain management, peds, OB, primary care. I applied to TCN to get my RN I was told that it was excepted in hawaii by a hawaii rep. Now i'm not to sure and i've already recvd my first module. Can anyone tell me for sure if TCN or excelsior is accepted in Hawaii? If not I hope I can get a refund from TCN....Mahalo

tcn is not a college but only a publishing company. your degree will come from ec you need to contact your state board to make sure they accept them. also , if you don't cancel your contract within 3 days of signing it you are stuck with tcn...big scam in my opinion...

I looked online at Hawaii's board of nursing and they only accept phoneix online, beside local colleges. When I brought this up with the coordinator for TCN she told me Hawaii does accept out of state colleges the excelsior it just not listed on line. I so worried that i'll pay all this money and not be able to get what I want in the end....I'm also bummed by the fact that I could have just skipped TCN and went straight with Excesior

Does anyone know if Excelsior has financial aid for the nursing program? I completed my LPN this past summer and had to pay out-of-pocket for it...... so I really don't want to do that again.
