Hi Everyone!

I am currently in a RN-MSN program. I am curious as to how much I should expect to make once I earn my MSN degree. I am looking for a ball park, and what type of position you guys hold, (Still trying to figure what I want to be when I grow up, lol). I know it there are many variabilities, but would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance for your help :)

Well, there are many MSN degrees (different concentrations) out there. What type of MSN degree are you pursuing? Education, NP, CRNA, CNM, CNS, administration? Something else entirely? There is a huge amount of variation of pay among the different MSN roles.

I am pursuing a MSN in Leadership.

Specializes in Nursing Professional Development.

I am in Nursing Professional Development in a region where the cost of living is considered to be approximately average for the country. The salary range for my position is from approximately $55,000 to $92,000 per year. (I am not sure of that low-end figure. That is just an estimate and may be off a bit.)

To reach the high end of the range, you would need to have at around 15 years of experience in that sort of role.

Are you picking a position based upon salary, or based upon what your passion is?

Thank you for your input. Llg. To luv dub definitely for passion, I just don't want to be low balled either. I love what I do and the specialty that I currently serve, as it has been a lifetime passion. I just want to know the going rate because I am coming from a different perspective (salary) wise.
