If you are a working mom with schoolage kids, what do you do for before and after school care? What if your kids are sick? Who stays home with them?
Obviously, night shifters, the solution is easier. I have done nights until now. I am worried about how to deal with this.
I work per-diem, every other weekend. Hubby is home when I work over nights and when I pick up more shifts..it's always the dayshift...b/c he works night during the week and he is able to make it home to get our oldest on the bus at 6:30 am and the twins up and ready for school. After they are on the bus...he crashes. It works for us, for the time being.

I've battled this same issue many times. For awhile, I used a high school girl that would drive to my house, sleep a bit, then get herself and my daughter ready for school in the morning, then drive her to school. I found her by going to one of the private, Christian high schools and asking if they had a bulletin board. The girl ended up being the school nurse's daughter and I think I paid her $50/day. She also picked her up in the afternoon and watched her until I got home.
