RN's becoming drug reps?

Published

I am considering a job change...a MAJOR job change!

If anyone knows about how to contact drug co. for drug rep jobs, please pm me!!!!

Thank you thank you thank you...

Bumping because I really want to know! EEK! Help!

I see ads all the time in the newspapers and also in sales professionals magazines such as "Selling Power". Also, you can go to the company websites.

I just did a quick search "drug rep jobs" and got over 10 pages of links....you can do the same....the jobs are out there and you certainly do not have to be RN to get them.

Have you tried looking on Monster or Careerbuilder? When I was recently looking for a new position, I did some searches for drug reps, and I remember having positions come up for companies like Merck, etc. You might try searching there, and going to the individual drug company websites. Usually they have a "careers" option on the website. Good luck!

I looked into this when I was young. I was told they require a degree and only professional , polished attractive applicants would be considered. No degree here so I was SOL....LOL!!

Good luck to you! :)

My brother-in-law works for (I did have the name but then thought that would be like advertising and I am new here and don't know all of the rules yet so I decided to be safe and take it off) and his major was something to do with golf. however, I believe all he did was go to their website after seeing an ad and did some homework and then sent his resume in. he then had to go to couple of places like Atlanta and New York for training and then had to take a test if he passed he was on board if not then he wasn't. He did pass but said it was hard but that is with no experience what so ever in the medical field. his team has won lots of trips to great places they get alot of benefits and not just medical. Tons, like money for trips and so on.

Definately, look it up online and go from there. Make sure your resume is updated and mail it in. I wouldn't do it online but if you do also mail it in. Good luck
