I've heard people say that this is the one:
http://www.amazon.com/Manual-Obstetrics-Spiral-Arthur-Evans/dp/0781796962
you know something, i was freaked out when i was preparing for that exam as well, as i was sitting there taking it i remember thinking..when is it going to be killer...it was difficult yes, but if you have worked ob for any length of time you'd be surprised how much you really have stored in that brain!! We go to conferences, we read, we chat with our peers, we are in online communities like this one, listservs...if you are qualified to sit for the exam by your hours worked in the field and you study, you'll be fine! Let us know how you do!!
I'm currenly studying using the book in the 2nd post-manual of obsterics, the outline from the NCC website and a boatload of 4x6 index cards. im on card 115 and not even 25% of the way done. i'm afriad i'm overstudying. but, if i do any less, i'll be afraid of understudying.
don'teven have it scheduled yet, want to get good and studied up first. so, i cant tell you h ow good its working yet!
though i did look up shoulder dystocia, out of interest, and one of the first things it mentions is to cut a generous epis.....
