Hello!
I have been torn for years on whether to become a sonographer or an RN (2 completely different careers, I know). I have finally made up my mind and will be starting an ADN program in the fall. Recently I was informed that there is a school where I am that has a sonography program offered to radiographers and RNs.
So, out of curiosity, what might the marketability be like for and RN who is also certified in sonography? I think sonography is so interesting, but I also think that nursing is what I'm meant to do. Who would hire someone with both credentials? Would the extra sonography training be a waste of time if I want to continue nursing afterward?
Thanks!:roll

I see absolutely no reason to do both unless it's just something you want to do for yourself.

Bringing this thread back to life, wondering if some more input could be added.
Thanks
