fractions (i.e., ratios) in practice
in my ADN program you had to take thru intermediate algebra to graduate from the college, but not needed for the nursing program per se.
BSN programs usually require statistics.
Before I went back to school I bought these disks called Math Advantage. Also a book called The Ultimate Math Refresher for the GRE, GMAT, and SAT. These were boring but helped a lot. It will amaze you if you've been out of school a while how few concepts there actually are thru basic algebra. Don't be afraid, just make a plan to learn what you need to and do it.

Hi there. I was thinking about LPN school, now I may start doing my pre requisites for RN school. I passed all my entrance exams for LPN school and the math was a little hard but after looking at the courses for the RN's .... looks like it involves alot of math!
Can you tell me during school what kind of math you needed to know or learn? Also, as an RN... do you use alot of math.
Were there any of you who were horrible at math and suprisingly did well in school and as an RN?
Thanks.
Clarissa
