I graduated since 2007 in different countries, worked 4 years as IC U surgical Nurse , left nursing on 2011, traveled to US and i just passed the Nclex in California
Currently i'm working with Scripps hospital as CNA.
I need your advice ? I'm not new grad and in the same time i have 5 years gap in the experience, so what should i do to get hired?
Thank you in advance [emoji3]

In my organization, you would be classified as a new grad - because you have no US work experience. This would make you eligible for new grad residency &/or extended orientation. This may also be the case with some employers in your area. If so, there would be no need for a refresher course. If not, a refresher course would be a very good option to improve your confidence & demonstrate your commitment - so it would add value to your resume.
Wishing you the best of luck on your job search.
I talked with the hospital I worked with and they told me that I'm not eligible for the new grad program unfortunately, they told me to apply to a regular position . But with this gap of experience I doubt if any will call me back.
The nearest refresher course will not start until mid August, i fell like I'm wasting time till then

Can you find an online course? most of those have video's and worksheets you do on your own so it's open enrollment.
