There are several states that do not require a local license before they give eligibility I would however recommend you contact Indiana and check with them what you would need to do if you have a license in another state and endorse because they may still require a local license from you as a foreign trained nurse
Hello thanks for the reply.. For me its okey if i can't work here in indiana..
I am looking for the states that qualified me to take an NLCEX with out my license at PHIL.. if i ever i pass the NCLEX whatever states is that.. then i will move there and work.. that's my plan.. :-)
god bless
If you read the forums for most states, most of them are having issues finding employment for new grads. There are hundreds of applicants for very few spots. You may want to find an area where they are looking for new grads (which are very few) that will hire you. Once you find that state and area, then you can contact that state board of nursing and start the process there. This way you don't waste, time, effort, and money trying to get licensed through a state that you're not going to practice in. Good Luck

What do you mean, you're here "with" a GC holder? What is your immigration status/visa? Do you have a SSN?
Yes, i have a GC. i came here with the spousal VISA.. my husband is a foreigner US citizen.
I want to take an NCLEX.. looking for the state's that doesn't need an RN in our country..
thanks for the reply..
Submit a copy of your current nursing license
a. The license must be in good standing and show an expiration date.
b. Please note: If you do not hold a current nursing license you are not eligible to take the
NCLEX through Vermont.
I am not qualified? what else??
thanks
