Can anyone tell me what RN's make per hour in states like Texas, Georgia, Oregon and Washington? CA is soooo expensive , but the pay here for beginning nurses is in the mid thirties, and goes up to the fifties. Thanks a lot:smilecoffeecup:

I live in Mobile, AL. New grad pay ranged from $17-20/hr. ($39-46k/yr) The cost of living here is reasonable as well. Buying/building a new 4br/2.5-3ba 2000ish sqft home will run 250-300k depending on location, lot size, etc. A gallon of gas is $2.30. A gallon of milk is $3.35. I live 30 minutes from the beach. An hour and a half-ish to NOLA. Under 6 hours to Atlanta. It's a good area. The only thing I would not reccommend is the middle schools in the public school system. My children will attend a private middle school. (They are currently in a public elementary school and will attend a public high school.)

MY regular job...13 days a month...with a year experience in med-surg...currently working in the ICU...I make $63k a year...

Plus 2 days a week for an agency...it pays me $500/shift...or $1000 for two days or $52,000 a year and only 2 days a week without benefit...not bad.

Totally, >$100K a year.
