RN Pay Scale at Munson Medical in Traverse City, MI

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

HI Everyone,

Just looking for some info about starting wages for new RN's at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI. I'm a new grad RN, but experience-wise I've had an externship in ICU at another hospital and have worked as an NCA for four years while in nursing school (I worked all over hospital as an aide...ER, ICU, Rehab, even in the pharmacy for a short stint!). I also have a BS, but not in nursing. Traverse City would be awesome town in live in, so I'm just trying to tap the collective mind of allnurses.com

thanks,

my sister in law is in nursing school in TC, here is some RN wage info from Munson's website:

Salary Expectations

  • Base $21.00 - $30.75 per hour
  • $.70 per hour shift differential afternoon shift (3 - 11 pm)
  • $2.00 per hour shift differential midnight shift (11 pm - 7 am)
  • Clinical advancement: +$1, +$2, +$3
  • Midnight incentive paid out two times per year

Here is a link to their main website: http://www.munsonhealthcare.org/

Also, just so you know, they are now requiring RNs that currently work there or that they hire in to obtain a BSN within a certain amount of time. My sis in law also has a BS, but not in Nursing, so she is going to see if it would be acceptable to go for an RN-MSN instead if she gets hired in there. Also, this hopsital acheived Magnet status in 2006. Good luck! TC is an awesome place!

Specializes in NICU.

My dad has been working there for the last 5 years. He graduated from NMC's ADN program. It's a good place (I would LOVE to be able to work there when I graduate), but you do HAVE to have your BSN. It is Magnet, and often shows up in Thompsons Top 100. I'm pretty sure they're no longer on a hiring freeze, but no guarantees.
