You may need to expand your job search to locations outside FL. FL is saturated with nurses. You may need to be patient, too. Many nurses are waiting months -> over a year for jobs. Try doing flu shot clinics; it's not what you're looking for, but it's a nursing job.

A lot of nurses from down south have come up to the central FL area to find a job. Have you considered ?

1. If possible, relocate to a less saturated employment market. Everyone (and their mamas) wants to bask in the sunshine of south Florida, so your job prospects would improve if you would consider relocating to places where no one wants to live.

2. Consider workplaces outside the exalted acute care hospital such as home health companies, private duty, clinics, nursing homes, subacute rehab centers, etc. Since Florida is the land of the elderly and retired, nursing homes are abundant there.

3. Adjust your expectations to match reality. You just became licensed? It's time to calm down. Many new grads are taking 6 to 12 months to find their first positions. Just because we have a license, it doesn't mean the job offers will automatically roll in.

I can't relocate right now, I got my RN license last month so yes I agree with you guys, I need to be more patient and just wait. The good thing is I still have my job as a LPN. Thanks
