My targeted start date is July in RN to MSN Leadership & Management! I hope to answer questions about my journey and provide insight as I go along!

Happy New Year everyone!! Will be updating my progress soon! Happy to be able to post again. Wishing you a prosperous 2019 in every way!?

Specializes in CDI Supervisor; Formerly NICU.

I just started the RN to MSN in L/M on January 1. I'm really liking the program so far, although I hate this statistics class that has slowed me down a lot. Chugging along.

Specializes in RNC-OB, C-EFM; obstetrics, IT, Telehealth.

I'm in statistics now too - slowed my roll as well. Looking forward to having it in the rear view mirror !

Curious as to how Statistics is going for you or have you completed it?

Hello there and welcome! Statistics sailed right on by! LOL I took wayyyyyy longer than I should have in Statistics! Life picked up, and school became a "task" to do. I had to refocus myself and get back on a roll. Once I did, I passed that PA and went on to take the OA and passed the first try! I kind of kicked myself for taking so long, but hey, no time to dwell in the past. I reveled passing the OA and quickly moved on! The OA wasn't difficult at all. You just have to know your stuff! The only thing that got me was the technical difficulties in ProctorU. They couldn't hear me for some reason. After we spent 30 minutes getting that fixed, I was good to go. Are you currently taking it?

How goes it?

Heeyyyyy girl HEEYYYYY! Hey boy HEEEYYYY! I am FINALLY here to share a quick update! So STATISTICS>>> The best advice I can give you is--->> DON'T BE AFRAID. DON'T HESITATE. GET. IT. DONE.

I took entirely too long and information started to dwindle and I found myself revisiting information! Take breaks. Don't let yourself get hypnotized in the reading. I had to say "okay Mal, you need to DO THIS." So I did. I dedicated everyday to getting chunks of it done (with the intent to learn it as well), and KABOOM! I took the PA (again) and passed! I went right on to take the OA and after 30 minutes of technical difficulties (they couldn't hear me), I breezed through it and PASSED! This was 3/15. Im currently in Organizational Systems and Quality Leadership, with 6 weeks left. I'm truckin' right along..... There have definitely been some wonderful and exciting things going on on my life as well. I am thankful for this little world of support we have here. If we keep it up..this faith and encouragement, we will make it... just you wait!!! I pray for strength, love, dedication, understanding and peace for you all. Until next time, Mal

Hey! I really appreciate that you are sharing your experience. I've been an LPN for 8 years and I will complete my ASN this December- still kicking myself for waiting so long. I'm thinking about enrolling into WGU's RN to BSN program. I'm anxious to see your take on Biochemistry. It's one of the courses really holding me back from applying.

One of the reasons it has taken me so long to get my RN- was my failed attempt at Excelsior. I'm worried that since I wasn't successful in that program- I will have a difficult time in with WGU.

Hi there!!! Thank you for your kind words! I don't know how I missed your comment!! Well, you are here now and that's what counts my dear! I hope you have applied to (or a school of your choosing) since this post. Biochemistry is nothing if you pace yourself. The cohorts (bootcamps) can really help if there is chunk of info you don't quite understand. Use that anxiety as fuel and put the petal to the metal! SKKKRRTT! Please update me on your progress! With love, Mal

I also updated this thread on my experience in Biochem! Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have!! ?
