RN moving from ontario to Alberta

i am an RN in ontario, in order to be able to work another province of canada like Alberta or BC do i need to take CRNE again?

I doubt you will have to take CRNE again but will have to meet the provinces requirements

No, you don't need to retake the CRNE. But you do have to have your credentials assessed. You need to contact the College of Nurses in the province(s) you're interested in for their documentation requirements. They'll send you an application and a demand for $$. You will then have to send on their verification forms to CNO, who will also demand $$, and to the school(s) you graduated from, who will also demand $$. Some provinces will also want documentation from employers, who will usually provide that information without charge. CNO and the schools will send the documentation directly to the College(s). When they've assessed all your information, they'll send you either their approval and the forms to register (and a demand for even MORE $$), or an analysis of what you still have to do to qualify. Nop matter where you're coming from or where you want to go, you'll need a current (within 6 months) criminal record check and for peds or small town hospitals, a child abuse registry check (more $$)... not necessarily for registration but definitely for employment. The process will take 2-3 months. It's all a bit of a three-ring circus.
