RN to LPN

Hi all... I haven't posted on this site in quite a while. I was originally in a RN program but now I am no longer in the program and I plan on applying to LPN school. The school I want to attend requires that you take two tests: TABE which is just a basic skills test and the TEAS exam. I scored very well on the TABE exam, but I am stressing about the TEAS exam. I have read many comments about the TEAS, but at the school I am applying to requires a 75% in R, L, and Math. The science portion doesn't count so I think that helps alot. I purchased the TEAS 4 study guide and the Math section is stressing me out. I don't anticipate any trouble with the reading and language portions, but the Math I am worried about because Math is a weak area for me. I get the basics, it's more of the conversions and Algebra. Any advise is greatly appreciated:nurse:

Go to the library and look for other references to check out for free. The more work you do in this area, the better you will do. Good luck.

Thank You Carliotter :). I take the exam next Thursday, so I will go today to get more books.

Go to ATI website and buy the study guide. It is the best!!!

I spent alot of time on the conversions and didn't have one question on it. It's amazing all the information you have to study and so little questions. GOOD LUCK

Thank you everyone for your replies:) they are greatly appreciated!

My weak subject is also Math. Before I took the TEAS test, I was soo stressed out about the math portion. Luckily, a nurse at my work had a TEAS practice book and he let me borrow it; it helped out a ton. I don't remember what the book was called exactly, but I know they have it at bookstores in the nursing student section. Definitely check it out if you can, because all of the math problems that I practiced from the book were all on the TEAS test.

Good luck! :)
