About 14 years ago I was arrested for diverting drugs from a nursing home in Maryland. Charges were dropped, but after going to the board, no one would listen to me and my license was suspended. So I just left nursing. I want to go back now. Lawyers were no help. So just went by myself. AND license was suspended.
I recently contacted the board again requesting reinstatement of my license. Have not gotten any paper work back.
Anyone have any experience like this in Maryland?
Thanks, hope you can help.

Hi, again.....
See if you can get your fingerprint cards done electronically. I had mine done the traditional way and they were rejected. Got the second done electronically, no problems.
Ironically, the first set cost me $10 or so. The second one was free.
I've emailed you, movingalong, so......
You're very welcome, re the support, etc. Isn't that what friends are for?

Hey Chris
You ARE being a help, and I thank you for all your support. I would love to email you. How do I do it?
I think the lawyer told me they lost the evidence. (The pills). I have often thought this was the work of the police. They were exceedingly nice to me. Just a thought.
I remember the lawyer telling me to go back to work there just as if nothing happened. I just couldn't do it. So I guess I wasn't fired. But then I got unemployment. Investigator at UE ruled in my behalf, was real nice, but that doesn't help with the license, which I also brought to the board's attention.
I have to wait until Monday to get my fingerprint cards then I will send for the background. Maybe I can find the lawyer's name and other information on it.
As I said, I would love to email you if you just let me know how.
About the arrest record that was dropped, I also brought that to the board's attention. There response was maybe I should be "retried." That did it then and there for me. What evil and vindictive people.
I did talk to the BON over a week ago and was told to write a letter requesting that my license be reinstated. Haven't heard from them yet.
Anyway, got to go. Probably will talk to this evening.
