My license comes up for renewal in February, 2015. I know that the new geriatric CEU requirements will be in effect. Do we have to have CEU's addressing all of the "Must Include" items, or just complete two hours that include some of those topics?

are you in Texas? The T-BON website is self-explanatory, but I will try to help. If you work with the elderly you need a minimum of two contact hours every license renewal. If you work in ER you need a forensic collection course, minimum 2 hours, once only. Every TX nurse needs a two hour course in TEXAS jurisprudence/ethics. You can take a course approved by TNA or go to the TBON webiste and take their course. You have till 12/15 to do it and it must be repeated every 6 years (3 license cycles). APRNs have other requirements. Hope this helps.

Every state has different CEU requirements so we can't answer your question unless we know your state. You can find CEU requirements on your state's BoN's website and medscape.org also has a good list of all states' requirements. My state requires 15 CEUs every other year. There are no mandatory topics.
