RN generic full Time fall 2014- Miami dade college

I'm applying for the Generic Full Time RN program for fall 2014 (August). I took my NLN Pax exam already and got an overall score of 143. Curious if this will be goof enough to get in? Can't find any stats since the previous test was the TEAS... Looking forward to hearing back from anyone else that has taken the test already. Thx.

I received my email earlier today and i went in for my background on 6/23/14. I think mine was completed faster because i already have a level two background clearance. Mdc wouldn't accept the one that i did previously from my job. Before getting the email, yesterday morning i spoke to Ms. Reeves and she said that as long as you have the receipt that shows that you atleast paid for it then its ok.

I received mines also.. I did the background check on the 18th at the school and got the email yesterday the 26th.

Also, Lisel when you took your chest X ray, how long did it take to get the results and everything??

You all know that the x-ray only needs to be done if the TB test is positive. If your test is negative you don't have to do it.

Yes I still need to do the xray. I also need 2 more hepatitis b vaccine which I'll take the second one in a month and the 3rd one in 2 months so I won't have it ready by July 3rd I think I got everything else

I just wanted to introduce myself-I'm Ginelle, starting Generic FT at Medical in the Fall! I just received my acceptance email 3 days ago and everything needs to get done by July 3rd! Such a tight deadline and the Wellness Center is PACKED! I only need one PPD test and a drug screen, where did you guys get your things done?

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted, and to those who have not heard from MDC yet, do not be discouraged. I remember how lost I felt during the acceptance process, so if anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. Just a few tips: Do not buy your uniform scrubs from MDC; they are over priced and fit terrible. You can go to Uniform Advantage and buy Hunter Green scrubs, and you can have the MDC logo placed for $5.00 at All Uniform Wear 27495 South Dixie Highway. Also, do not buy the Books package that MDC sells you for like $600.00. I have not even used 1/3 of the books they recommended. If you guys can, rent the books online and wait until you get to class so that your professor can tell you which books are necessary. Also, make sure at orientation you order a name plate at the book store because it takes a month to get delivered and you will need it for clinicals. Hope this information is helpful to some of you. So we can buy just the logo from the bookstore, or does the uniform place has it already.

@tobe009: The book store will not sell you the logo because they want you to buy there over priced uniforms, but if you go to the place I told you about, they will place the logo for about $5.00. And you do not need the lab coat. MDC will push you to buy it but you do not need it.
