Hi Lnzsay, i just took my NCLEX this week and I studied Kaplan, Saunders and UWorld. My opinion is that you study Kaplan. The questions weren't identical but they were similar. I felt like Kaplan was the best thing to use because Sainders was too easy and the questions on UWorld were a lot harder than the test. Hope this helps.. Good Luck!

@tobe009: The book store will not sell you the logo because they want you to buy there over priced uniforms, but if you go to the place I told you about, they will place the logo for about $5.00. And you do not need the lab coat. MDC will push you to buy it but you do not need it.

Hi everyone, I am a nursing student at the homestead campus and am in my second semester. Congratulations to everyone who got accepted, and to those who have not heard from MDC yet, do not be discouraged. I remember how lost I felt during the acceptance process, so if anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. Just a few tips: Do not buy your uniform scrubs from MDC; they are over priced and fit terrible. You can go to Uniform Advantage and buy Hunter Green scrubs, and you can have the MDC logo placed for $5.00 at All Uniform Wear 27495 South Dixie Highway. Also, do not buy the Books package that MDC sells you for like $600.00. I have not even used 1/3 of the books they recommended. If you guys can, rent the books online and wait until you get to class so that your professor can tell you which books are necessary. Also, make sure at orientation you order a name plate at the book store because it takes a month to get delivered and you will need it for clinicals. Hope this information is helpful to some of you.
