RN generic full Time fall 2014- Miami dade college

I'm applying for the Generic Full Time RN program for fall 2014 (August). I took my NLN Pax exam already and got an overall score of 143. Curious if this will be goof enough to get in? Can't find any stats since the previous test was the TEAS... Looking forward to hearing back from anyone else that has taken the test already. Thx.

Hi everybody! I'm taking the exam on the 28th and I'm freaking out!!! Even tho the stuff in the book it seems very basic I'm scared about the time specially for math. I'm terrible at it :( I've been studying for a week. Anything else you guys remember that was in the test? Good luck everyone ! And I'm also applying for the fall :)

My advise to you jucris and everyone, skip through the math problems that take too long to solve. I took way too long and had to fly over the last part of the section. When I glanced up at the time, it said in bold red "2 minutes left". Scariest. Moment. Ever. At the end, I felt like I could have done a lot better. But once that clock stops, the screen closes. No way of going back :/

Thank you mels13090. I know I'm so scared cuz I take forever to calculate simple stuff and I know thay will kill :( do you think the book helped? I heard there's a lot of fraction and %. What did you score?

Hi everyone! I've applied to both the accelerated and generic programs. My science gpa is 3.8 and my score is 129... I'm very nervous about getting into the fall!!

Hey Kim what advice can you give from the exam? About the science portion? Did you see alot of physics in it? Did you see the eye diagram?

Because ..first English is not my first language

And i always have problem in class with it even in Spanish, and more a math person than language .In Reading comprehensive I'm good .

English is my 2nd language as well which is why the vocab is killing me ... i hope to be able to answer a good amount w/o hesitating because i already know ill be guessing for some of the words.

as far as the science i dont know anymore what to focus on.. lol i got A& P down pack.... bio is ok ...chem its easy..only a small little section....physics idk where to stop studying..im all over the place with it :nailbiting:

So best way to study for this test is to study the book inside out? R u Happy with your score?

Yeahh this is very bad for us.. I study the words on the book and not going to stress more I focusing more on science (the physics part ) and pray to God that everything else goes smoothly

The book was the best study tool. Everything from the exam was in the book. Practicing makes you faster with solving problems so I suggest you try every math test in there.

I found it best to skip vocab I wasn't sure of and give the questions on the reading 100% attention. That way you still get decent scores in that section.
