Hello there everyone! Im a licensed nurse of the state of NM but a resident here in California. I am a BSN graduate in the Philippines so the easiest way for me to get an eligibility is to go apt to nm which i did and was licensed.

Now, i wanna ask if anybody knows or anybody here experienced endorsing RN license from another state to California which is an international graduate like me. I am hearing some Philippines graduate are being denied for the endorsement application despite passing all the requirements. Anybody of you guys who could tell me their experiences if theres a chance for me for my endorsement application. They need a lot of requirements from my school my cases and clinical logbooks. is it true that philippines graduates requires to go to school and take deficient units despite being a licensed nurse from another state?? Im getting worried because its hard to relocate to other states. I love to work here in cali. Thank you and hoping for some replies from you guys! Needs help so bad. Thanks and god bless us nurses!!! :)

Hi janejanepons! I just want some input on my application for licensure by endorsement in cali? Can you help me? Thanks in advance!

hi. from what school did u graduate? did they ask for other documents like a copy of clinical rotation schedule, OR and DR cases, Academic Calendar? i am a 2005 graduate, by the way. thanks

I was approved. My licensing analyst from CA BON asked me the following documents

1. Copy of my social security card

2. A copy of my philippine nursing license

3. A copy of my Nursing diploma with english translation

4. Nursing transcript sent directly from my nursing school to BON

5. Clinical portion of transcript ir RLE sent directly from my school to BON

6. Educational breakdown form sent directly from my school to BON

I asked my school the expected delivery of my school documents. They told me sacramento received all my school documents last july12, 2013. And fortunately after 4 days my name was already posted in CA BON permanent RN license holders.

Hi janejanepons.

I just wanna say thank you for posting these requirements. I applied for endorsement last Oct 2015 and i followed what you wrote here (well, except for ss card ). And so, Dec 31, 2015, my analyst called me up for copies of my ss card and passport. I submitted everything then. Fortunately nothing more needs to be submitted from my school.... Just yesterday, Jan 21 i checked breeze and now i got my CA license posted!

Thanks again, your post made me prepare for the needed documents.

Btw i am a 2005 grad.

One last question: how long before you got your license by mail? Thanks.

Lol, didn't I mention to you in another posting that if you're a PH grad 2005 and prior, you stand a good chance of getting your endorsement approved. It's the ones that graduated post-2005 that have to meet the concurrency rules.

Congrats!

Thanks Steppybay.

I was getting paranoid lol!

Hi! I am a 2005 graduate from the Philippines too. I passed nclex year 2008. I tried endorsing my new mexico license year 2014. I submitted and complied with every requirements. After a long wait for my evaluation, the CaBRN required me to take MS and OB telling me it is about concurrency issues. So i searched everywhere where I can enroll but no vacant slot, sometimes they did not even sign me in because it would be 2 year at least for wait, will be futile since 3 years is the limit to comply. The good news came to me this month! I received a call from My board analyst telling me I no longer needed to repeat MS and Ob! Thank God! A miracle! After two weeks I got my license! prayer works!

Hi so out of no where they just called and informed you u dont need to take ms and ob? Wow congrats.

Congrats! Good thing you havent found a school yet otherwise you would have enrolled already and wasted a lot of money. God is really great! He has good plans for everyone. We just need to trust in Him.

If you ask me I think my cases are concurrent, but CaBRN Evaluated it as non concurrent, so they ask me before to repeat MS and OB.

then after almost 2 years I got the call That i no longer need to repeat, and then issued me my license.

Did they also ask u for your log book during your initial application for endorsement before they asked u to repeat ob and ms?
