RN documenting visits not made

RN pretending to see her patients, making up notes and signing same, all the while not seeing the patients. It's not her first go round with this either.

Have any of you had this happen at your agencies?

YIKES!!!! My agency would NEVER tolerate that!!! It is really quite disgusting...and quite disappointing. Hope she is fired!

Yes. Was warned by another nurse not to turn in the fraudster, after all, as I was told, "she has a mortgage to pay". You know having a mortgage justified it.

Yup. Fired several at several agencies for that very thing.

Wow. Just wow. Haven't had this happen at our agency, but I can see it happening in larger agencies. I could never abandon my pts like that, they are very important to me!!

Funny thing, the RN is never reported to the BON. Might be different this time, cause I just might drop the nickel. I'm on my way out of nursing and will not tolerate that kind of activity - just sick of it!

Report it. These actions are the source of billions of dollars in medicare and mdicaid fraud. That nurse is not providing care and is stealing.
