Any RN to BSN programs that don't require shadowing?

Does anyone know if there are any online RN to BSN programs that don't require shadowing ? As a full time working RN and full time mom I didn't realize more clinical like hours or shadowing would be necessary. I have a friend who did online during Covid and lucked out with this not being a requirement at the time. Just wondering if all school require similar? Any input is appreciated!! ?

Lucky! It sounds like people lucked out during Covid with this not being required. Guess I’ll have to suck it up buttercup

I am currently in the same situation. I was looking into Chamberlin. I have to reach out to them for more information but I think that your work hours count towards your clinical hours. I could be completely wrong. I was going to plan on GCU until I read they require 100 hour practicum. I have not received replies on my post asking for help for info on ADN to BSN programs.

No one lucked out during covid ( it was a scramble for faculty and students) ...but I do understand your idea. Have you thought about where you would like to work in the future...or an area in your current employer, or another employer? Enquire in those areas...make connections. Plan your future...

Did you have an luck finding a program that doesnt require a preceptor of mentor. I've been looking also. I've been looking at both chamberlain and capella and it seems like they may not require this. Does anyone on here know this for sure?

I have not had any luck, but if you find anything out please let me know, thanks!

Londonflo, sweetie of course honey I didn’t mean luck out. I have worked through this entire pandemic so I don’t appreciate your attitude. If you are smart enough to be a nurse, you surely could interpret what I mean even if the wording wasn’t 100% to your liking… Geezus. I have been a nurse since 2005 so I’m not sure what you’re talking about “plan your future”?
I have 4 kids and just would like to not have to work full time while also caring for my family and ALSO doing clinical hours. I thought if working full time went towards it. Thanks for replying for no reason though

I don't appreciate you using derogatory and undermining labels to describe me! Maybe you accept it when it is used to and for you........, I do not.

You cannot expect someone to interpret what you mean if you, yourself cannot articulate what you mean.....Should I have the job of rewriting it?

It is up to you what you want to do with the rest of your nursing years...want to move ahead? Most nurses moving into higher education choose a program where they can meet smart people with whom they forge a relationship with...for a better job in the future.

You are welcome. I said I understand your idea.  If you don't want opinions, don't post on a message board.

I said exactly what I meant to say, it was you who interpreted it poorly. Why do you keep getting on here to go back and forth with me? I’m done

thanks

Capella

Did you attend capella? I was looking at them but I've heard some negative things about them. Main concern is that I've heard it's just writing essays, which I don't really mind, but one person said that each class has 4- 5 papers, and each paper is 8-10 pages long. Can you confirm this?

Yes! Just finished. The first course has only 3 assignments. All others 4/5. Papers are usually between 5-7 pages long including power points and audio or video presentations. Nothing too difficult at all. I finished in 10 weeks.
