RN to BSN

Nursing Students Online Learning

Updated:   Published

Dear All,

I am planning to go for a RN to BSN program, preferably online. But currently there are so many programs in so many different schools that how would you decide which is the best one for your future career? I have looked into some programs such as Concordia University in St. Paul, College of St. Scholastica at Duluth, Metro state in St. Paul, University of Bemidji, University of Mankato, Augsburg college and College and still researching. Any insight or suggestion would be helpful. Do nurses have to be working while doing an online RN to BSN? If anyone already in those above mentioned schools, could you please share some of your thoughts or suggestions. Thank you.

I've enrolled in the college of St. Scholastica's online program. They accepted all my previous credits.

Hi Mary. I started with Capella on June 3, 2019, with a total of 12 courses in all. I have completed 6 so far. Like I said before there are 4 assessments per course (so far). Usually papers. Some power points. No extra assignments, quizzes, test, discussion boards. I have noticed that the assessments get a little more extreme and require more time doing them but If you schedule your time wisely you can finish in 3 months. I’m hoping I can. Will keep everyone updated!

Hey Chrissy RN - How is the program going for you? completed? What tips can you give from your experience so far? Would you advice Capella as a great school to finish your BSN in 3 months? Please tell me anything more that will come useful.

Has anyone pursued the ASU RN to BSN? Are all courses offered every 7 week session or are the course availabilities alternated?

Has anyone attended Lamar Unversity RN to BSN program?  If so, has was it?
