Hello everyone,

I just started my RN-BSN course at UTA online. The reason I chose this route is because UTA allows you to get into the program while you are still taking pre-requisites. However, I am finding the technical writing class (required), a little difficult and my academic advisor not very helpful. The instructions are not clear and I am feeling a little frustrated. The nursing courses are great, the advisor is very helpful and the instructions are clear. I just wanted to hear from other nurses out here who have been through this course at UTA or who are currently enrolled. Thanks!

I work full time Monday-Friday, commute about 1 hr to 1.5 hr each way, have a busy teenager with multiple school activities. I started the program on Spring 2014 and will be completing it on Spring 2016, but I had a lot of general courses to take. Mainly I took one course at a time, I used this forum to find out which classes could be doubled up but really never started 2 courses at once but i worked it out so they would overlap by a couple of weeks or so. For the history classes and goverment I took completely alone. From the nursing classes i think its doable to double up on the health of the older adult and health promotion. Leadership management I also thought it was easy. Maybe the government classes could be doubled up with the health promotion and older adult care but honestly, you don't have a lot of classes to take so unless you re in a rush to finish, i think if you pace yourself with one class at a time you will not lose your sanity.

The Statistics class had the tests online until the Summer of 2014 I believe, it was on the Fall 2014 that they changed to proctor tests.

Can anyone give me an idea of how much books cost on average for each Nursing course? I am applying to UTA for the RN-BSN program this week!

I live in CA will be graduating this Spring 2016 from UTA RN-BSN online program. I was wondering if there are any CA nurses that graduated who were able to apply for the public health certification as well. Just curious because UTA doesn't offer it with their online program.

Hi! I just started Prof Nursing 3345 on Jan 25th. Did anyone respond to your request for recommendations or any tips. Also do you need to take statistics? I need a stat class and I am not sure if I should take it at UTA or at a local community college. Good luck!! Let me know if you ever have any questions. Not going to lie I am nervous about taking online classes!

I just started the UTA RN to BSN online program too. I am taking Nursing 3345. Having some difficulty navigating the computer program. I have the syllabus but can't seem to find the actual assignment eg. readings. Any advice would be sooo helpful. First class here and they are so short. Thanks.
