  1. Please please mentor me. I am starting the program soon and there is so much unknowns. Mostly worried about the practicum since I know I can handle the school work. Not sure where to get a mentor.
  2. For those who have graduated, what is acceptable for clinical hours?
  3. I realize this is old but can anyone here helps me understand if there is costs associated with the practicum hours? Do we need to pay tuition when we are doing the clinical? And what is acceptable for clinical? Sorry, too many questions. I am starting the program in a month and I am nervous with a lot of questions. Anyone willing to be a mentor? I am in California, Thanks in advance
  4. Hello you two, how is the program going? Can you give me any insight on the program? I am about to apply, almost done with the RN-BSN in UTA and want to go ahead to the MSN in the same school. Now, how are the clinicals handled? And if you would like to sell your books, please email me on [email protected]. Thanks so much.
  5. Hi, I started in March 12th. Its great, I am loving it. PM me if you would like to know more.
  6. Oh...and there is no catch. @Nurseaggie, if you would like to sell some of your books, pm me.
  7. I started on March 12th, so far so good!
  8. Thanks so much. And you are right. Everything in APA and from other sources, not my own....lol. Its just confusing to me because she will have like ten numbered questions to answer after reading a certain book. So naturally, I am thinking about answering one by one, but no.....! all APA essay form. I guese I will get used to it.
  9. Hello everyone, I just started my RN-BSN course at UTA online. The reason I chose this route is because UTA allows you to get into the program while you are still taking pre-requisites. However, I am finding the technical writing class (required), a little difficult and my academic advisor not very helpful. The instructions are not clear and I am feeling a little frustrated. The nursing courses are great, the advisor is very helpful and the instructions are clear. I just wanted to hear from other nurses out here who have been through this course at UTA or who are currently enrolled. Thanks!
  10. In the LA area, would someone recommend the cheaper/safer places to live and work? And which hospitals would you recommend. Any suggestions please from californians?
  11. 91CRN What is "with Benis"? And which hospital do you work for? Please let me know. You can PM me if you want. I would really appreciate this information.
  12. I am hoping to get a recommendation on a good agency. I am hoping to be on my way to LA in a month. I will drive my car over there but I am hoping to get a private housing with utilities paid, cable, travel reimbursement, and at least make $36 per hour. An agency that provides OT as a double pay is a big plus. Thanks in advance!
  13. All you all with great agencies. Any ideas will be appreciated.
  14. Reading everyone else's responses just make me realize how lucky I am. My unit has three techs upstairs that call us immediately there is an arrythmia in case the nurse's pager has run out of battery. We all carry a pager where our patients abnormal rhythms our immediately alerted to our pagers wherever we are. And we have the techs as a back-up who always calls and ask; "Did you see Mr XX just had three run of v-tach?
