RN-BSN competency-based then BSN-MSN credit based?

Published

Has anyone done this before?

I'm graduating with my RN right now and would like to jump right into my BSN and get it done quickly. Competency-based seems like the best way, but a lot of those are pass/fail. I'm wondering how it will affect graduate level education afterward if I go to a semester, credit, and letter-based system. Would I risk having to re-taking some classes? I'd rather not do competency-based for an NP degree.

Thank you!!

It's awesome you're taking the next steps into completing your BSN. If you need some good RN to BSN, here are a few for your reference: 15 Best RN to BSN Programs | 2024 - Nursing Degree Programs (allnurses.com),

I recommend you look into the schools and consult with the advisors to see what they suggest when it comes to choosing the right school.
