Hey Everyone- I am a new graduate from a 4 year University. I have my RN-BSN and graduated in the top of the class with a 3.8 overall gpa. I'm looking for some advice from all of you. I have applied EVERYWHERE in NY state and cannot find a job. I have only received two call backs for interviews but nothing came from it. I have applied everywhere in Buffalo and NY city but cannot seem to find anything. I have also looked on Indeed.com. Has anyone else had this issue? I feel like all my credentials are fine and I didn't expect to have an issue with getting a job. I just feel frustrated overall and don't know where to look next. Does anyone have similar stories about getting a job? Any advice or tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the new world of nursing, even with a BSN. Just have to keep getting out there and not give up. Try to stand out in a good way, volunteer, network, join clubs like the soroptomists, google around for every LTC, county clinic, hospital, ambulatory center, blood center, red cross in your area and drop off a resume and specific cover letter. Try local school districts (edjoin.org), indian reservations (ihs.gov), indeed.com, simplyhired.com, put your resume everywhere.
yes, It sucks, it really sucks. This has been happening since late 2008. Keep trying, because once you become a stale old new grad, it gets even worse. . Sad, but take anything you can get.

You may have to relocate(if possible). I'm facing that situation now! Just had an interview today at a hospital that was 4 hrs away from home in a nearby state.
